I got several web sites and a few statements that tickled my fancy. So as not to be selfish and unsharing, here are some of them:
- If lawyers are disbarred and clergymen defrocked, doesn't it follow that electricians can be delighted, musicians denoted, cowboys deranged, models deposed, tree surgeons debarked and dry cleaners depressed?
- Why is it that if someone tells you that there are 1 billion stars in the universe you will believe them, but if they tell you a wall has wet paint you will have to touch it to be sure?
- Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
- If quizzes are quizzical, what are tests?
And one more that is old, but always topical:
- If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress?
